All the articles in the book except two have been published either in Daily Star, Dhaka or Mainstream, New Delhi. Out of the remaining two the piece on Collapse of BCCI and Regulatory Deficiency' was published in the Journal of Institute of Bankers in Bangladesh and the last one on 'Foreign Aid Help or Hindrance? has not been published earlier.
The theme of all the articles is mainly globalization as promoted by western countries popularly known as Washington Consensus adminisetred through Brettonwood institutions World Bank and — IMF. These articles also demonstrate how this campaign has failed the poor countries and protect the interest of their people and gradually diminished the space within which nation states can function and deliver public goods to neutralise the evil effects of globalisation.
